the One Body Wellness Center, massage therapy is customized to the
individual, and utilizes a variety of techniques to restore balance,
reduce stress, and promote overall wellness. Each technique is also

Swedish
Massage
Swedish massage is one of the most popular forms of massage. Relax
as a One Body therapist uses a system of long strokes, gentle kneading
and friction techniques on surface muscles while incorporating active
and passive movements of the joints. Benefits include general relaxation,
relief of muscle tension, and improved circulation and range of
motion.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage relieves the aches and pains of one specific
area of the body. A One Body therapists uses cross-fiber and longitudinal
strokes to work deep in the muscle tissue, breaking up and softening
knots while decreasing spasms and tight muscles. Enjoy greater ease
of muscle movement and decreased pain.
Sports
Massage
One Body’s sports massage is custom-tailored for the client
preparing for an upcoming athletic event or seeking relief from
a recently completed rigorous workout or competition. Sports massage
provides the benefits of deep tissue manipulations that stimulate
circulation of the blood and lymph.
Shiatsu
Considered a modernized form of the ancient Chinese art of acupressure,
Shiatsu blends meditation with gentle, pain-free pressure to stimulate
the energy (chi) that flows through the body. The gentle pressure
stimulates the circulatory, respiratory, digestive and immune system,
aiding in the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health,
the reduction of stress and improved flexibility.
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) incorporates the physical, mental, emotional
and spiritual states of body to produce feelings of peace, relaxation,
security and well being. One Body therapists use gentle touch and
the energy of the human body to promote the body’s natural
healing process. Reiki is especially effective for clients who seek
to relieve stress, fatigue and tension, reduce pain, accelerate
healing, or energize and revitalize their body.
Thai
Massage
Thai Massage Combines the elements of gentle rocking, deep stretching
and meditation to create intense feelings of relaxation, peace of
mind, happiness, flexibility and youthfulness. Promoting a harmonious
state of self-being, Thai Massage works to relax tightened muscles,
enhance the mind/body connection, reduce stress and pain and alleviate
pain from soft tissue-related disorders. The therapy can be an excellent
alternative to traditional physical rehabilitation methods.
Senior
Massage
While growing older is a fact of life, the pain that often accompanies
the aging process doesn’t have to be. One Body’s senior
massage combines compassion with gentle touch to relieve aches,
pains, high blood pressure, muscular stiffness, mental discomfort
and the symptoms associated with osteoporosis and arthritis. Massage
can increase circulation, result in healthier skin, and diminish
the feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Massage
One Body’s couples massage gives you and that special someone
the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy the benefits
of massage side-by-side as two therapists apply gentle kneading
techniques. Sessions can foster a stronger relationship and a healthier

Pre-Natal
Massage
Giving
birth is a beautiful and wonderful experience. However, the changes
a woman's body undergoes can create discomfot and stress. The benefits
of massage therap can promote relaxation and offer relief from fatigue,
stress, tension, aches and pains that come with pregnancy. Women
may enjoy the benefits of Pre-Natal massage through the third trimester.
Myofascial
Release
